Synopsis

Ondrej Moravec is a multiple champion of Czech Republic. In Sochi he won three Olympic medals, becoming the most winning Czech male athlete in the Winter Olympic Games. However, his road to success wasn’t easy: when he was ten and started practising biathlon, he was diagnosed with the Perthes’ disease. The young Ondrej was undergoing a surgery, followed by a a long period of physical therapy. The disease, however, didn’t stop him: he continued practising biathlon winning eight medals at the junior championship. In 2009 he moved to Canada in order to realized his childhood dream: the Olympic Games. The International successes arrived in 2013 with the World Cup and culminated with the 3 Sochi Olympic medals. Ondrej is persuaded that his illness during childhood and the detachment from the parents helped him to win the medals.
