Synopsis
The story of husband-and-wife mountaineering team Romano Benet and Nives Meroi, the first couple to climb all 14 “eight-thousanders” – an achievement all the more notable for their method of climbing without sherpas or bottled oxygen. Nives and Romano talk about their roots and life on the border between Italy and Slovenia, on those Julian Alps, where they have developed a self-sufficient approach to tackling the world’s eight-thousanders and about their 15th eight-thousander: the hardest one.
