Synopsis

2XPOL: the story of an unusual rowing team composed by the Polish couple Julia Michalska and Magdalena Fularczyk. Unusual not only because of their sporting talent. It is the story of a team that many believed was destined to fail, that many simply gave up on. Polish rowing authorities claimed that Julia and Magdalena were not fit for this sport, that they had no chance of international success. Their coach was regarded as too young, too inexperienced and not knowledgeable. In 2009, against the odds, the three became World champions. The documentary presents this charismatic team up-close during their key training camp on the way to Olympic glory.
