ITA
ENG
In the backdrop of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, filmed in Milan, Cortina and the valleys of northern Italy, it follows a Chinese para ice hockey player, an Olympic poster artist, a Winter Olympic champion, a former figure skater from the 1956 Cortina Games, a keeper of sports film memory and the family of the designer of the FIFA World Cup Trophy. Rather than focusing on victory or biography, it asks what remains after competition is over. Through bodies, images, photographs, sound, medals, trophies and old studios, it explores how sport enters human experience, and how people, places, families and histories continue to be seen across time. The Olympic light belongs to champions and results, and to those who once struggled, existed, were recorded, and are later remembered.
