Derek Rabelo is a blind Brazilian surfer who managed to surf in Nazarè in Portugal, the home of giant waves of over 15 meters. Derek is also an excellent mental coach and he tries to inspire people to do what they think is impossible. If the world record for the highest wave ever surfed (22 meters) today belongs to a woman, the credit must certainly be shared with Justine Dupont, the first woman to surf the c.d. “giant waves” in the Big Wave Surfing discipline. Giorgio Pietrangeli, a historic Italian surfer suffering from an incurable sea, decided to return to the water in a break between radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Giorgio tells about himself to Roberto D’Amico, a famous Italian surfer and a great friend of him.
