Synopsis
The Fordson high school football team in Dearborn (Michigan) prepares itself for its rivalry game during the last ten days of the Muslim month of Ramadan. Fordson, a public school, boasts a 98% Arab-American population. The film unearths the story of commuity desperately holding onto its Islamic faith while struggling to gain acceptance into post 9-11 America. An unprecedented glimpse inside the lives of a community that is home to the largest concentration of Arabs in any city outside the Middle East, and their determination to hold on to the “American Dream”.
