“Gascoigne” is the title of the documentary film on the life of Paul Gascoigne, a former midfielder of Tottenham and Lazio, known for his skills as a champion in the field as for the self-destructive excesses in private life. The film is released in UK cinemas on June 8 in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of the FIFA World Cup Italy 90 during which Gascoigne was among the leading figures who led England to play in the semifinals.
A life that even the best screenwriter could have imagined, where the protagonist falls were many and difficult ascents. In the film are told, among others, by some “legends” of British football as Gary Lineker and Wayne Rooney as well as by the “special one” Jose Mourinho (Chelsea manager). The documentary film has been invited to participate in “out of competition” to “Exsport Movies & Tv 2015” scheduled in Milan from October 27 to November 1.
