The Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB) is a 170km ultramarathon around the highest peak in the Alps. The intensity and the beauty of the course make it the world’s premier trail race: just in 2018, 2,600 people from 80 Countries and regions participated. In2019 the race was a fierce competition between world-class professionals and hungry amateurs looking to make a name for themselves. Then, one after another, top pros faced brutal setbacks. A battle to the absolute limit in the full grandeur of “Mother Nature”. And a final podium no one could have predicted.
