Synopsis

This movie is about  the history of the Olympic Summer Games torches from the first appearance in Amsterdam in 1928  to the one in London in  2012. Among the curiosities, in 1952 at the Helsinki Games with the participation for the first time of  the Soviet Union, torch didn’t cross the Iron Curtain and, for the first time in history has been transported by plane and then turned on by Paavo Nurmi. Another significant moment to remember is in 2008 at the Beijing Olympic Games where the torch has traveled its longest journey, 137 thousand km in 5 months. Here, Li Ning, ex athlete,  lighted the Tripod running in the air.
