Luca Pancalli, current President of the Italian Paralympic Committee and winner of 15 Paralympic medals, transformed the world of Italian Paralympic sport. “They thought I was crazy when I wrote to the President of the Italian Republic to ask for the Paralympic athletes to be received by the President together with the Olympic athletes”. For Giuseppe Abbagnale, President of the Italian Rowing Federation, rowing entered his life thanks to his uncle who once brought him to the rowing center. Giuseppe Abbagnale is the “gentle giant” who wrote the history of Italian rowing. Thanks to a peculiar project, many children with disabilities have approached rowing.
