Synopsis:
The Blue Planet Expedition is a journey around the world aboard two sailing catamarans, featuring a crew made up of an audiovisual production team and a group of scientists from various countries. Together, they will document the state of salt and fresh waters, marine currents, plastic and acid pollution in oceans, seas, and major rivers; the frequency and composition of permanent and seasonal winds; marine and coastal biodiversity; climate change; geological transformations of ocean and seabeds; the condition of significant underwater archaeological heritage; and the relationship between ancient, mixed, and modern societies and their lives connected to the sea and large rivers, among other important subjects.
