Synopsis

At the age of four, Sébastien de Sainte Marie stood for the first time on ski – however he didn‘t liked the hustle and bustle on the slopes nor queuing at lifts. Today the Swiss steep skier looks for solitude and silence in the mountains and picks slopes hardly anyone else wants to risk. Sébastien says he feels safer in the mountains than in a city, a car or a plane. For the north face of the Gspaltenhorn in the Bernese Alps it’s the same – a slope up to 55-degree, where every wrong move could prove fatal.
