Synopsis

Six paralympic gold medals made Jiri Jezek the most successful cyclist in paralympic history. His exceptional talent and hard work allows him to participate very often in normal elite and professional racing. When David Vlk was ten, he was diagnosed with a malignant tumour and his left leg was amputated at the knee. While receiving therapy he took part in the “Light of My Life Project”, which helps children pass the time and teaches the basics of photography. The life paths of Jiří Ježek and David Vlk met in 2013, when Škoda Auto allowed Jirka be the forerunner in the most famous cycling time trial of the Tour de France. David was chosen to take photos of Jirka’s ride of a lifetime.
