“We are ready” is an Africa Cup of Nations Promo that was designed to prepare the Ugandan audience to watch the just concluded and most respected Continental Soccer Tournament on African soils. The tournament held in Egypt featured Uganda’s National Team – (the Uganda cranes)The cast features some of UBC’s Sports presenters endeavouring to emphasise how ready we were as a Broadcast institution to screen live all the matches. From the start we have Phiona Namiiro and Timothy Twesigye in a radio studio alerting the public about our readiness. Next is Peter Otai a football commentator enjoying one of Uganda’s best Snack commonly known as a Rolex confirming with Damba Dutches (the Chef) how ready UBC is! Others to confirm are Egesa Jermaine (sports pundit), John Barnes Sentamu (Sports Editor) and Ruben Mpiima (Sports TV host) who is seen reminding viewers of how UBC is ready by using a simple printed paper on a U-turn. The cast’s message is aligned by animated pencil sketches and inserted clips of Uganda’s cranes goals from Farook Miya and the Congolese Goal keeper Robert Kidiaba ‘score celebration dance’ The Ed Sheeran – Bibia be ye ye (instrumental) was used to create the African exciting rhythm.
