Synopsis:
The story of Eric Liddell, the Chinese-born Olympic track and field champion who, in 1924 in Paris, set a world record and won the gold medal in the 400 meters. After abandoning athletic glory, he devoted himself to teaching, inspiring young people in his homeland. He also contributed to the design of the most advanced stadium in East Asia and trained Chinese athletes for the Olympics, leaving an indelible legacy. His remarkable life was famously dramatised in the Oscar-winning film Chariots of Fire, which chronicles his friendship and rivalry with fellow athlete Harold Abrahams.
