She used to feel like a pear off a tree, changing colours like a chameleon in a purple meadow. But all she used to see were the fast-revolving back wheels of the boys, with whom she kept up through her will. Every day, she used to promise she ‘d give up cycling and return to her beloved cross-country skiing. But then came her first successes, and she started winning over the boys. And after a time she realized that bicycling was something she got “under her skin". Nowadays she says she couldn't live without it.

The have the Olympic victories in common: they won together 2 silver medals in the Team Road Race in Munich 1972 and Montreal 1976. Using many invaluable archives from the Polish television like the fragments of the 1973 World Championship in Barcelona that connect the entire history, in order to try to answer the question: why did the Polish cycling have been in crisis in the last years? Why such a beautiful story hasn't got a sequel?
