Milan – from October 7 to 11, 2025 – will become the world center of Olympic culture, sport, cinema, television, communication, e-sports with “SPORT MOVIES & TV 2025”, the most important international Festival of the sector included in the context of the Cultural Olympiad of Milano Cortina 2026, a multidisciplinary, plural and widespread program to promote Olympic and Paralympic values.

In several locations in Lombardy there will be 100 projections of documentaries, fiction, cartoons, etc. that tell the emotions, the stories of the protagonists of Olympism: a real Festival of Olympic images inspired by the theme “Sport | Peace | Olympic Truce. The event will welcome directors, producers, Olympic champions, broadcasters, industry operators, communication experts, representatives of sports institutions and the media in a program – in addition to the screenings – full of 4 Exhibitions, 2 Ceremonies, 6 Meetings, 2 Press Conferences, 4 Related Events, the Paralympic International Movies & TV Fest, etc.

SPORT MOVIES & TV 2025” will be an opportunity to explore the future of sports storytelling through new technologies, virtual reality, e-sports and artificial intelligence applied to communication and cinema.

The Festival is organized by FICTS – Fédération Internationale Cinéma Télévision Sportifs (chaired by Prof. Franco Ascani – www.sportmoviestv.com) recognized by the IOC – International Olympic Committee for which it promotes the values ​​of sport through images in the 130 joined Countries in collaboration with the Minister for Sport and Youth, the Lombardy Region and the Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026.

“SPORT MOVIES & TV 2025” is the first step of the Project “SPORT MOVIES & TV 2026 – Culture Through Sport” that will continue until the end of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 (5 February – 15 March) in Milan and in the other Olympic cities and Regions.

“SPORT MOVIES & TV 2025” represents the World Final of 21 Festivals distributed across the 5 Continents of the “World FICTS Challenge”, the World Championship of Television, Sport, Cinema, Communication and Culture: Beijing (China), Barcelona (Spain), Fort Myers (USA), Beausoleil (Côte d’Azur – France), Zlatibor (Serbia), Liberec (Czech Republic), Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), Pristina (Kosovo), Tehran (I. R.
