Sports, emotions, the great stories that make hearts beat, the images that turn on the passion and the values ​​that unite the world will become the protagonist again in Milan – from October 30th to November 2nd – at “SPORT MOVIES & TV 2026 – 44th MILANO INTERNATIONAL FICTS FEST” (www.sportmoviestv.com), the most important international Festival in the sector. This is the Final of 27 Festivals (across five Continents) of the “World FICTS Challenge” the Championship of Television, Cinema, Communication and Sports Culture, part of the legacy of the Milano Cortina 2026 Cultural Olympiad.

Ideas become vision, stories become connections and sport becomes a universal language thanks to the finest audiovisual contents from around the world. A unique stage where sport comes to life on screen and becomes storytelling, inspiration and entertainment, with a rich program of 80 screenings selected from the 1,963 submitted (documentaries, fiction, cartoons, etc.), 8 Exhibitions, 2 Ceremonies, 6 Meetings, 2 Press Conferences, 4 Side events, the Paralympic International Movies & TV Fest, etc.

A journey through stories, values and powerful emotions. The Festival shines a spotlight on the unseen and brings to the big screen the profound essence of the Olympic Games of all time, with a special window dedicated to the recently concluded Milan Cortina 2026: the invisible sacrifice, universal glory and human truth that pulsate behind every extraordinary sports feat.

The Festival is organized by FICTS – Fédération Internationale Cinéma Télévision Sportifs (chaired by Prof. Franco Ascani), recognized by the IOC – International Olympic Committee, for which it promotes the values ​​of sport through images in 130 Member Nations in collaboration with the Minister for Sport and Youth, the Lombardy Region and the Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation.

SPORT MOVIES & TV 2026 promises to be a true crossroads of excellence, thanks to a prestigious lineup of guests. A carefully selected list of sports champions and iconic personalities from film, television, and sports culture will be present in Milan to be awarded the “Guirlande d’Honneur” the FICTS’s highest honor. The names of the protagonists, which will be revealed in the coming weeks, will make the 2026 edition an unprecedented “parade of stars.”
