Arturo oggi ha 24 anni ama il calcio che gioca sin da quando era piccolo e indossava ancora le protesi. Insieme ad altri ragazzi trovati in giro per l’Italia ha fondato la prima squadra italiani di giocatori di calcio senza una gamba. Arturo frequenta l’università, collabora con una radio locale dove conduce un programma di sport e sta scrivendo il suo secondo libro.  Spesso è nelle scuole a condividere con i ragazzi la sua esperienza, “perché è importante raccontare modelli diversi da quelli che spesso ci propongono”. Oggi di anni ne ha 42 ed è due volte capitano: del Santa Lucia Basket e della Nazionale Italiana Basket in Carrozzina. «L’incontro con la pallacanestro in carrozzina è stato come ritornare a sognare», racconta Matteo. Mohamed Ali Sanna, arrivato dalla Somalia ormai da più di 30 anni con la poliomelite, ora Presidente della polisportiva Santa Lucia Basket. Le storie di questi due atleti ci dimostra che anche attraverso lo sport si può ritornare a vivere. Rimane coinvolta in un bruttissimo incidente stradale sulla Napoli – Roma che le provoca una lesione spinale rendendola paraplegica. Durante la riabilitazione a Roma, incontra diversi schermidori paralimpici che la spronano ad intraprendere questa disciplina. Oggi mamma Loredana, ha un bellissimo bambino,Tommaso, si allena tutti i giorni per oltre tre ore a seduta. I suoi idoli sono la Di Francisca e la Errigo. Anche questa è una delle tante storie di che dimostrano che lo sport è una scuola di vita.

His life would be under threat if he doesn’t amputate his left leg. After several painful struggles, he had his left leg cut off. Therefore, in order to play football again, He Yiyi joined China Disabled Persons' Federation in 2012 and participated in individual track and field events. He would play football with a pair of crutches whenever he got time so that he could run in the field again. In the fifth edition of the Games, Vietnam managed to mantain its third position among the Countries of the region. The Asean Para Games really became the "playground" for the disabled in the South East Asian nations, where determined athletes overcome brillianty joint by the slogan: "Asian people moving together for a common dream".

These athletes see wheelchair basketball as an important element in breaking down stereotypes about disability within the community. And they do so with great humour and ability.

Everyday, with the leg left, he takes pains from place to place by delivering newspaper to earn his livings. For the time left, he devoted himself for training sports and that’s his pleasure. It’s incredible with one leg, he always finishes the 3.5 km marathon in every annual Ho Chi Minh International Tournament. For him, crossing the finish-line is winning. After any tournament, he smiles and console himself that: “I’ve won”.

Pablo ha subìto un trapianto di cuore all’età di sei anni e due volte l’anno, negli ultimi sei, ha percorso 1300 km fino a Madrid per i controlli di circostanza sul suo cuore. Tutta questa esperienza è raccontata da lui in prima persona, dai suoi genitori, dai medici che lo hanno assistito, alternando le riprese nei luoghi di vita quotidiani a quelle sull’ambulanza che lo ha porta in ospedale. Ma Pablo è felice perché ora ha una vita pressoché normale e soprattutto perché non deve rinunciare alla sua passione: lo sport.Marc Pablo is twelve years old, he loves sport and plays several disciplines, from football to swimming to track-and-fields, which he loves the most: he’s very good at high jump, in which he owns the class record, and at 60 meters run. It seems like a common child’s story but is not: Pablo owns a transplanted heart since he was six, and twice a year, in the past six years, he travelled 1300 kms to Madrid to check his new heart’s conditions. The whole experience is told by Marc himself, as well as from his parents and the doctors, alternating daylife footage with shooting on the ambulance taking him to the hospital. But now Pablo feels happy ‘cause he can enjoy quite a normal life and he don’t have to give up his beloved sports.

Visually impaired since he was a child, he has a great passion: football. Fortunately, he was enrolled into a football team where all of its members are visually impaired. Due to this disability, they took a hard and challenging training because they could only detect by ears the directions of the ball, the goal, team members and rivals. It is really difficult to keep the balance, so the players fell down frequently on the solid cement field causing horrible scars. How could they manage to kick the ball that is thought to be dominated by those with sights? As Chen Shanyong says, they will not make a living out of football that they practice only for the love of sport.
