The first ever celebrated Parkinson’s World Table Tennis Championships raised awareness of Parkinson’s disease and showcased how table tennis can improve thelives of those diagnosed with it. The tournament was opened to all Parkinson diagnosed players able to provide a medical certificate. Based on fair play, the focus is on fun, solidarity and sharing experiences and not on the mere competition.
