Synopsis
The world’s most successful runners come from Africa – many of them from Ethiopia. ARD research shows that many of their victories have come about with the help of doping. This is not only about doping. Top runners from African countries have been dominating the big Marathons, the Olympic Games and the World Cups – and now even the European Championships. For many of them have changed their nationalities. They are now starting for Turkey or Azerbaijan. And in this shady scene, sports managers often play dubious roles.
