Synopsis
Sports-themed manga have inspired and influenced some of Japan’s leading athletes, and bringing popularity to some disciplines. One of these is the judo that has two great champions as cartoon enthusiasts: Tadahiro Nomura, the first judoka to win gold medals at three consecutive Olympic Games and Toshihiko Koga, Olympic gold medal in Barcelona 1992. Both are avid reader of the manga “The Judo Club Tales” written by Makoto Kobayashi.
