The FIBA Secretary General Bora Stankovic’s story is told through the testimonies of those who knew him firsthand. This is the unique testimony about a man who crossed the path from an enemy of the state to an honorary citizen of Yugoslavia (Serbia) finding the only possible way for rehabilitation through sports. As a player, he was a member of the National team (participation in the First World Cup in 1950); as a coach – the first foreigner with the Italian League title (with BC Cantu 1968) as a Secretary General FICBA (1976-2002) – someone who changed world basketball globally. He was a diplomat for the most complex tasks negotiating between “two” Chinas in basketball between two Koreas introducing basketball in many countries and territories including Gaza. Among the personalities who appear in the film are former NBA Commissioners David Stern, BC Cantù players by Mr Stankovic – Pierluigi Marzorati, Carlo Recalcati, Fabrizio Della Fiori, Alberto Merlati, Alberto De Simone…Real Madrid legends Cliffors Luyk and Emiliano Rodriguez…actual FIBA Secretary General Andras Zagklis and many great names of Yugoslav basketball.
