Synopsis
Zhangjiakou is an important city located beyond the Great Wall. It was built during Spring – Autumn Period and between Qin – Han dynasties. Under the veil of ice and snow, it has been witnessed of the development of Chinese civilization for thousands years. On July 31st 2015, Thomas Bach, the President of the International Olympic Committee, unced that Beijing won the bid to host the 24th Olympic Winter Games in 2022. Zhangjiakou, one of the ancient city of ice and snow, located beyond the Great Wall, came to the world stage together with Beijing. A beautiful promise with ice in 2022.
