The submissions to “SPORT MOVIES & TV 2017 – 35th Milano International FICTS Fest” Final of 16 Festivals (around the 5 Continents) of the “World FICTS Challenge” Worldwide Championship of Television, Cinema, Sport, Culture and Communication (articulated in) scheduled in Milano (Italy), from November 15th to 20th, are opened. The event – through “FICTS is Culture through sport” slogan – is organized by FICTS – Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs, joined with 116 Member Countries (chaired by Prof. Franco Ascani Member of “IOC Commission for Culture and Olympic Heritage”) and recognized by the International Olympic Committee for which it promotes the values of sport through footages.
The event is a considerable “world showcase” for Networks, media, broadcastings, houses of productions, producers, directors, filmmakers, Olympic Committees, advertising and integrated communication agencies, that will show the whole universe of cinema and sport television through spot, reportages, fiction, cartoon, etc. There are 8 competitive Sections: 1) Olympic Games; 2) Documentary; 3) Tv Shows – New Technology; 4) Sport & Society; 5) Sport & Disability; 6) Movies; 7) Sport Adverts; 8) Movies & Tv Football.

The International Jury (President Dr. Carlo Bozzali), composed by exponents of cinema, television, media, sport and culture coming from Countries that don’t participate in the Festival, will assign for each 8 Sections the “Oscar of Cinema and Sport Television”: the “Guirlande d’Honneur”.
The news of 2017 is the competition “Create a spot for Sport Movies & Tv” whose goal is to produce a video (maximum length 30’’) to be used as a promotion of the upcoming edition of the Festival. The winner will receive a cash prize of € 1.000 and an invitation (for four people) to the Festival.

All the 150 productions Selected to the Festival, besides screened, will be shown with profile in the official Catalogue of the Festival. The trailer and the full information (picture, synopsis, etc.) of each movies will be edit on www.sportmoviestv.com the new FICTS Portal dedicated to the world of cinema, television, web and sports culture does not only concern the graphic design but also its structure is expanded with new categories and contents. FICTS will pay 50% of the cost of the overnight stay only to the NASCO HOTEL (4 stars, Corso Sempione 69, in the center of Milano) for all the period of the Festival. The seventeenth century Palazzo Giureconsulti, in the hearth of Milano (in Piazza DUOMO) – besides to host the “Opening Ceremony” (on Wednesday, November 15th) – will be the “Core business” of the event (entrance by invitation upon necessary confirmation) articulated into Projections (till now 30 worldwide and European premieres, etc. in 6 points of projections), 4 Meetings, 2 Workshop, 4 Exhibitions, 2 Press Conference, 30 Awards of international guests, 20 Side Events distributed in different locations around Milano in collaboration with sports and cultural organizations.
A six-day program with several appointments articulated in 10 prestigious venues, a “Widespread Festival” across the whole of Milan territory which will transform the city into a place dedicated to professionals, fans and tourists of any age.
During the Festival is scheduled on Saturday, November 18th the traditional Workshop “New International Sport Movies Television Market Trends” in collaboration with WCPMedia Services and Industry MFN on trends of the television field, Internet and mobile platforms for a comparison on the future developments in order to check the current system of business and in order to analyze future trends through dialogue between different actors in the audiovisual sport production and distribution.
The “Paralympic Day” dedicated to Paralympic Heroes who participated in sports events in 2017 in the presence of the Chairman of the Paralympic Committee of Italy Dr. Luca Pancalli Member of the FICTS Hall of Fame (in the picture below with the paralympic Italian olympic champion Martina Caironi) will be held on Monday November 19th .
The “Award Ceremony” will be held on November 20th at Palazzo Lombardia (Piazza Città di Lombardia 1 – Via Melchiorre Gioia 37).
