The Press Conference presentation of “Sport Movies & TV 2017 – 35th Milano International FICTS Fest” (Milano, November 15th – 20th) Final of 16 Festivals (around the 5 Continents) of the “World FICTS Challenge” World Championship of Television, Cinema, Communication and Sport Culture will take place on November 9th at Sala Parlamentino of Palazzo Giureconsulti (Piazza Mercanti, 2 – Milano).
The event – under the slogan “FICTS Is Culture through sport” – is organized by FICTS – Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs, joined with 116 Countries (chaired by Prof. Franco Ascani, member of IOC Culture and Olympic Heritage Commission) recognized by the International Olympic Committee for which it promotes the values of sport through footages.
FICTS President Prof. Franco Ascani will inform media about “Sport Movies & TV 2017” program as well as the prestigious sport, cinema, Tv and journalisms guests, 120 international film directors that will attend to the Festival, the films in “Nomination” selected among 958 ones from 63 Countries in 55 Sports Disciplines (with 25 Worldwide Premieres), 70 Guests, 165 Producers and Directors, 152 Journalists with accreditation, 147 Involved Broadcasters.
Six days of Tv, Cinema and Sport Culture (entrance by Invitation. Aaccreditation available at link https://www.sportmoviestv.net/en/registration-form/) at the seventeenth-century Palazzo Giureconsulti, in the heart of Milan (Piazza Mercanti 2 – Piazza Duomo) will be the “core business” of the event (admission by invitation with accreditation) with 140 Projections (among which 30 worldwide premieres in 6 points of projections), 8 Meetings, 2 Workshop, 4 Exhibitions, 2 Press Conference, 23 Awards of international guests, 20 Side Events distributed in 10 locations around Milano. A “Widespread Festival” across the whole of Milan territory which will transform the city into a place dedicated to professionals, fans and tourists of any age.
“Sport Movies & Tv 2017” is a privileged meeting place for 5000/6000 operators and industry experts from around the world including. The “Opening Ceremony” will be held on November 15th with the inauguration of 4 Exhibitions at Palazzo Giureconsulti: “Olympic Images, Olympic Values”, 30 Hours of exclusive Olympic footages no-stop thanks to the collaboration of FICTS with the Olympic Channel (present in Milan during the Festival) and the exhibition of Memorabilia and posters of all the Official Films of the Olympic Games in the “Olympic Area”; “Sportswomen on top” dedicated to women protagonists of sport movies; “Olympic Games in Beijing” cured by the BODA – Beijing Olympic City Development Association (China); “The Bonelli’s Heroes” (Dylan Dog, Tex and the characters of Sergio Bonelli Editore);
From November 16 till 19 (from 3 p.m. – 10.30 p.m.) will be scheduled Projections, Exhibitions, Conferences, Events. Inside Palazzo Giureconsulti will feature: FICTS General Assembly and presentation of the Festivals of “World FICTS Challenge 2018” (November 16th); “Youth day” with the presentation of “I Trofei di Milano 2018” (November 17th); “World Tv Day” with the delivery of “TV SPORT EMOTIONS AWARD” and the Meeting “Russian Olympic sports, industry and broadcasting: problems, doping, evolution, future” in collaboration with Match Tv Russia (November 18th); “1° Paralympic International Movies & Tv Festival”, dedicated to the “Paralympic Heroes” with the presence of Sir Philip Craven Past President of International Paralympic Committee (IPC) as well Dr. Luca Pancalli President Of Italian Paralympic Committee (November 19th).
