FICTS – Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs (recognized by the International Olympic Committee) that promotes the sports values through the footages, actively participated in the “Olympic Day” on June 23. FICTS will put available online (for free) on the official website http://www.sportmoviestv.net/accesso-catalogo-gratis/ – following the digitization of its cultural heritage – 3,348 “Olympic short video” and 230 audiovisual productions with the purpose to make them accessible to all in digital formats.
FICTS will organize, therefore, several projections, meetings and events aimed to the culture of Olympism in the same time in 20 seats of “World FICS Challenge” choosed among 121 joined Countries in the 5 Continents: Lisbon (Portugal), Rotterdam (Netherlands), Barcelona (Spain), Cote d’Azur (France), Zlatibor (Serbia), Cortina d’Ampezzo (Italy), Sarajevo (Bosnia), Liberec (Czech Rep.), Pristina (Kosovo), Tehran (I. R. Iran), Nagano (Japan), Beijing (China), Tashkent (Uzbekistan), Kampala (Uganda), Casablanca (Morocco), Nairobi (Kenya), Indianapolis (Usa), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Kingston (Jamaica), Buenos Aires (Argentina).
There will be scheduled, in each seat of “World FICTS Challenge”, different events (conferences, meetings, etc.) in order to raise, the young peole in particolar, to the respect for universal ethical principles or to inspire a philosophy of life that combines sport, culture and education in a “global movement at the humanity’s service”.
The FICTS President Prof. Franco Ascani, Member of the IOC Commission for Culture and Olympic Heritage, on the occasion of the Olympic Day, said: “FICTS promotes Olympism” is the title of the Program 2020 aimed to strengthen the positive values of Olympism for a universal ideal through the effective use of the power of the sports image, an invaluable heritage for present and for future generations in order to also spread also and above all through the modern technologies”.
Milan (Italy), headquarters of FICTS, will host from November 7 to 11, 2020 – under the slogan “Let’s start again with sport and culture” – “SPORT MOVIES & TV – MILAN INTERNATIONAL FICTS FEST” (www.sportmoviestv.com) Final of 20 Festival (in the 5 Continents) of the “World FICTS Challenge” Worldwide Championship of Television, Cinema, Culture and Sports Communication. This year the Festival will focused on the promotion of Olympism and Olympic Culture, with sports audiovisual contents, exclusive footages of all times of the summer disciplines of Winter Olympic Games and thematic exhibitions (“Poster of Olympic Film”).
