Great success for the “8th Kampala International FICTS Festival” held in Uganda from 14 to 16 October. The “Award Ceremony” to which attended the Chairman of the Uganda Sports Council, Mr Bosco Onyik who commended the efforts of FICTS Uganda President, Mr Andrew Patrick Luwandagga – who is also the 1st FICTS Vice President – for organizing the annual event in Kampala, which makes show the only one in Africa. On his part, Mr Luwandagga promised to make next year’s Festival even a bigger one and called on African sports TV producers and other professionals to always come out and showcase their potential.

The winner was “UGANDAN JUNIOR CHAMP” a sports news feature on table tennis star directed by Amon Ngabo of UBC TV.

Three days of, under the patronage of FICTS International attracted 37 entries with eight from Africa. The Festival – articulated in projections of 37 films (8 coming from Africa), meetings, exhibition at the Sea Scallop in Kampala has been by organized by FICTS Uganda and was opened by the greetings message of FICTS President, Prof. Franco Ascani read by Mr Dean Kibirige.

The winners in Kampala will compete with other victorious participants in Milan, Italy where the World FICTS Final Challenge will be held in the first week of December, 2014.
