ALL THE SPORT OF POPE JOHANNES PAULUS II IN A VIDEO PRESENTED IN “SPORT MOVIES & TV”

The FICTS pays tribute to Pope Johannes Paulus II who, on 27 April together with Pope John XXIII, will be officially declared a Saint. Karol Wojtyla, for his great passion for the sport, will be remembered as “The Athlete of God” or “The sports Pope” as when he lived in Poland, used to play soccer, swimming, rowing and skiing.

In 2003 – in worldwide premiere – has been introduced during the “Opening Ceremony” of “Sport Movies & Tv” the video “Pope Johannes Paulus II talks to sport”. The production, edited by the Vatican Television Centre thanks to the availability directed by Father Federico Lombardi, by Dr Mario Farneti and Dr Massimo Lavena with the ideation of the Prof. Franco Ascani for FICTS. An exclusive and touching collection of all the thoughts, speeches and meetings His Holiness dedicated to Sport with unseen images of His juvenile sport activities with the comments of  the voice of H.H. Johannes Paulus II.
