The submissions to the eight edition of “BCN Sports Film 2017 – Barcelona International FICTS Festival” will expire on 28th  February. Barcelona (Spain) will be the seat from 8th to 12th May 2017 of the event organized – in the framework of the Worldwide Championship of Cinema, Sport and Television “World FICTS Challenge” – by the “Fundacio Olympic Barcelona” directed by Dr Juli Pernas Lopez (director of Museu Olímpic i de l’Esport Joan Antoni Samaranch) in collaboration with “Nikita Distribution”, with support of FICTS and the Barcelona City Council.

The “BCN Sports Film 2017” is open to all audiovisual productions in which sport, in any of its disciplines, is the star. Genres eligible to compete are animated, documentary, journalistic, fiction, experimental and promotional films- both shorts and feature length- produced from January, 2015.

One of the principal objectives of BCN Sports-Film 2017 is to bring the general public into contact with sports-orientated audiovisual content and the values that they represent. Whilst offering the media, film directors, producers and specialized distributors a meeting place in which they can exchange views and information.

This s eighth edition of the Festival will have a competitive nature.
