Great success of audience for the 5th edition of the “BCN SPORTS FILM FESTIVAL – BARCELONA INTERNATIONAL FICTS FESTIVAL” ended with the delivery of the Awards to the winners at the Auditorium of the Museu Olímpic i de l’Esport Joan Antoni Samaranch in Barcelona. Maria Teresa Samaranch member of patronage of Fundació Barcelona Olímpica, was the person who gave the prize “Àmfora Ciutat de Barcelona” to the best film in the 5th edition of the BCN Sports Film Festival to “CASCADA” a documentary by Anson Fogel and Skip Armstrong and a production by Shannon Ethridge.

The “BCN Sports Film Festival” winners will participate ex officio to “Sport Movies & Tv 2014 – 32 Milano International FICTS Fest”, Final of the “World FICTS Challenge 2014”, Worldwide Championship of Cinema and Sport Television which will take place in Milan from 3 to 8 December.

Best production of Catalonia

“IMPARABLES”, by Daniel Jariod, (Catalonia). A production by Richard Calvani (Black Train Films). Josep Gimenez, president of Catalan federation of sports of people with physical incapacity gives the award to Daniel Jariod.

Best documentary production

“STEPS – A JOURNEY TO THE EDGE OF CLIMATE CHANGE” by Philipp Eyer and Stephan Hermann (Switzerland )A production by Ride Greener. Juli Pernas, director of the Fundació Barcelona Olímpica, gave the award to Marco Sanz, director of marketing of Microgestió.

Best fiction film

“MATILDE”, by Vito Palmieri (Italy). A production by Vito Palmieri, AGFA (Associazione Genitori Figli Audiolesi) and Maxman Coop.


Award for best fiction film (Ex-aequo)

“30 MINUTES PAR JOUR”, by Samuel Lampaert (Bèlgica). A production by Samuel Lampaert (VISU-I).

Barbara gave the awards to Claudia Bianconi, delegate of production of Maxman Coop and Vanessa Olmos producer of Aventura al Límite.


Best short film
