Barcelona will host the 13th edition of “BCN Sports Film – Barcelona International FICTS Festival” from February 20-28, 2023.

The “Opening Ceremony” will be held on Monday 20 of February at Museu Olímpic i de l‘Esport Joan Antoni Samaranch managed by the Barcelona Olympic Foundation and is located at the heart of the Parc de Montjuïc (a few minutes from Plaça d’Espanya). The FICTS’s President Prof. Franco Ascani will attend.

The event – included in the “World FICTS Challenge” – is organized by Fundació Barcelona Olímpica chaired by David Escudé (Councillor of Sports of the Ajuntament de Barcelona). Director of FBO is Francesc Terrón while the Festival’s artistic director is Agustí Argelich. The Museu Olímpic i de l‘Esport Joan Antoni Samaranch is the main seat of the Festival. The others locations are: Centre Cívic Bon Pastor, Centre Cívic Cotxeres De Sants, Centre Cívic El Sortidor, Cinemes Girona, Inefc Barcelona, Institut Français De Barcelona, Fundación Miguel Induráin Fundazioa and Centres Penitenciaris De Catalunya. 

The winners of BCN SPORTS Film Festival will participate in the World Final “SPORT MOVES & TV 2023” held in Milan in November.

BCN SPORTS FILM FESTIVAL 2023 TRIBUTE: this year we commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Catalan Basketball Federation. This is why Fundació Barcelona Olímpica wants to honor it as part of the BCN Sports Film Festival with a special session dedicated to basketball.

SPOTSPORT COMPETITION 2023: the competition was organized with the collaboration of the Sport newspaper with the goal of encouraging the general public to take part in the BCN Sports Film and several directors took part. The aim of SPOTSPORT was to produce a 20-second promotional video that will be screened to represent the 13th Edition of the BCN Sports Film for promotional purposes. Finalists will be screened during the Opening Ceremony on Monday, 20th February at which the winners will be handed their prize of 1000€.
