Boston Marathon bombing attack 2013 becomes a film

On April 20^th, comes to the Italian theatre “Patriots Day” drama-thriller film about the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing and the subsequent terrorist manhunt. Directed by Peter Berg and written by Berg, Matt Cook and Joshua Zetumer, the film is based on the book Boston Strong by Casey Sherman and Dave Wedge. The film, whom star is Mark Walhlberg, tells the extraordinary courage shown by the Boston citizens in response to terrorism during an event that has had a strong impact all over the world. The Boston Marathon is one of the oldest, the first edition dates back to 1897 and runs on the third Monday of April, which coincides with the celebration of the United States Revolution’s “Patriots Day” anniversary. The film has been invited to participate in “Out of Competition” at “Sport Movies & TV 2017” scheduled in Milan from 15^th to 20^th November.
