“CINEFOOT”: PLAYING THE BEAUTIFUL GAME IN BRAZIL ON MAY AND JUNE BEFORE OLYMPIC GAMES

FICTS takes the field with “CINEfoot – International Football Film Festival” (www.cinefoot.org) the film Festival whose main theme is “Football”. The Festival – directed by Antonio Leal – is organized in the framework of the Championship of Cinema and Sport Television “World FICTS Challenge” by Ministry of Culture and Federal Justice Cultural Center in collaboration with RIOFILME-Distributor and Municipality of Rio de Janeiro.

CINEfoot’s 7^th edition will take place from 19 to 24 May 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, from 2 to 7 June 2016 in Sao Paulo and from 3 to 8 June 2016 in Belo Horizonte. CINEfoot is the first and only film festival in Brazil and Latin America to promote and screen football films. The festival’s agenda includes international competitive screenings, special exhibitions, discussions, workshops, video contests, tributes etc. From 2010 to 2015, the CINEfoot exhibited over two hundred football films, attracting a legion of admirers for their sessions.
