CINEMA AND SPORT CULTURE IN BAKU CAPITAL OF AZERBAIJAN FROM 18 TO 21 NOVEMBER 2014

The “Nizami Cinema Center”, multifunctional cinema (the largest theatre in the South Caucasus), will be the prestigious seat of the “II Baku International FICTS Sport Films Festival” scheduled in Baku, capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan, from 18^th to 21^st November 2014.

The International event is organized by Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan in collaboration with the Ministry of Sport and Youth and the Azerbaijani Olympic Committee, with the support of FICTS inserted in the framework of the “World FICTS Challenge” Worldwide Championship of Cinema and Sport Television. The Program of the “2^nd Baku International FICTS Sport Films Festival” will include the projection of 50 productions (coming from 24 Countries) at the presence of international directors and producers, Meetings, Workshops, Conferences. During the Festival will be set up a photographic Exhibition “Baku – the Capital of European Olympic Games”. The Festival – organized in the same period of the 43^rd General Assembly of the European Olympic Committees – will be a promotional moment for sport in Azerbaijan and for the first edition of the “European Games” that will take place in Baku from 12 to 28 June 2015.
