CINEMA, CULTURE AND SPORT AT “3° MATERA INTERNATIONAL FICTS FESTIVAL” FROM 30 MAY TO 2 JUNE

Matera, the “Stone city”, recognized as World Heritage site by UNESCO and nominated as “2019 European Capital of Culture” will host, from 30^th May to 2^nd June, the third edition of “Matera International FICTS Festival” (http://www.materasportfilmfestival.com/).

The event, coordinated by Mr Michele Di Gioia President of the Organizing Committee, is organized – in the framework of the World Championship of Cinema and sport Television “World FICTS Challenge” – by the Matera Virtus sports Association in collaboration with FICTS with the support of Comune and Provincia di Matera, APT Basilicata, Matera Chamber of Commerce and Matera 2019 Committee. The forty works selected in the 4 categories (“Tv and new technologies”, “Movies & Tv Football”, “Movies”, “Documentaries”) will be projected at the presence of a FICTS International Delegation and Extra-European directors and producers. The “Opening Ceremony” will be held on 30^th May (7 pm) at “Fondazione Le Monacelle”.
