Call for entries. Wednesday, September 13th will be the last day to submit and to deliver the productions for all the competitive Sections of “SPORT MOVIES & TV 2017” Final of 16 Festivals (around the 5 Continents) of the “World FICTS Challenge” Worldwide Championship of Television, Cinema, Sport, Culture and Communication scheduled in Milano (Italy), from November 15th to 20th. The International Jury, according to the Organizing Committee, accepted the requests to delay the submission and the deliver as well of the productions about the international sports events as well as world championship of 2017. The seventeenth century Palazzo Giureconsulti, in the hearth of Milano (in Piazza Duomo) – besides to host the “Opening Ceremony” (on Wednesday, November 15th) – will be the “Core business” of the event (entrance by invitation upon necessary confirmation) articulated into 140 Projections (till now 30 worldwide and European premieres, etc. in 6 points of projections), 4 Meetings, 2 Workshop, 4 Exhibitions, 2 Press Conference, 30 Awards of international guests, 20 Side Events distributed in 10 different locations around Milano in collaboration with sports and cultural organizations. A “Widespread Festival” across the whole of Milan territory which will transform the city into a place dedicated to professionals, fans and tourists of any age.
The International Jury (President Dr. Carlo Bozzali), composed by 5 exponents of cinema, television, media, sport and culture coming from Countries that don’t participate to the Festival, will assign “Guirlande d’Honneur” (“Oscar of Cinema and Sport Television”), “Mention d’Honneur”, “Special Awards” for each 8 Sections: 1) Olympic Games; 2) Documentary; 3) Tv Shows – New Technology; 4) Sport & Society; 5) Sport & Disability; 6) Movies; 7) Sport Adverts; 8) Movies & Tv Football. Six days of Cinema, Television and Sport Culture, a privileged meeting place for 6000 operators and industry experts from around the world including Networks, media, broadcastings, houses of productions, producers, directors, filmmakers, Olympic Committees, advertising and integrated communication agencies, that will show the whole universe of cinema and sport television through spot, reportages, fiction, cartoon, etc. “Sport Movies & Tv” will also host the first edition of “International Paralympic Festival” with the projections of paralympic movies with a special dedicated Section “Sport and Disability”. During the day will attend Sir Philip Craven President of International Paralympic Committee (IPC)as well as Dr Luca Pancalli President Italian Paralympic Committee. All the admitted productions to the Festival will have maximum visibility at the international level. In addition to appearing on the program of the event, a detailed illustrated booklet is included in the Catalogue of the Festival, in the “Selected” and “General Archive” section on the official website of FICTS while the trailer will be published online in the same section. A Selection Commission of the Federation will choose some of the best productions that will be sent to the Festivals of the “World FICTS Challenge 2018”.
