The third edition of Côte d’Azur International FICTS Festival will be held in French Riviera from May 29th – 31st. The event inserted in the “World FICTS Challenge 2018 (WFC)” Worldwide Championship of Cinema and Sport Television is organized by FIFS Association chaired by Claire Peradotto (Organizing Committee is composed by: Renato Tullio Ferrari FICTS representative in France, Etienne Delhaye Director of Club des Entreprises of Sophia Antipolis, Marco Saitta Secretary, Olivier Taze and Philippe Daniel Coll Members) in collaboration with FICTS, with CDOS 06 – Olympic Committee and Sports Departmental of Maritime Alps (chaired by Philippe Manassero) and the National Museum of Sport that will host during all the period of the  Festival – besides the “Olympic” Exhibition” – the projections of the exclusive images of the Olympic Games of all time in order to further promote, at international level, the Olympism, the Olympic Culture and “Sport for All” in the framework of the Project “Olympic Images Emotions” promoted by FICTS in agreement with the IOC Foundation for Culture and Olympic Heritage. 

FICTS President Prof. Franco Ascani Member of IOC Commission for Culture and Olympic Heritage will attend to the “Award Ceremony” on May 31.

The Festival is promoted by the Côte d’Azur FIFS Association and organized by an ad hoc committee, the FICTS challenge (Federation International du Cinema et Television Sportif, associated with the International Olympic Committee) is renewing itself with the Côte d’Azur, it is gaining volume and expanding its scope. While maintaining its roots in Sophia-Antipolis, the diffusion of films and the organization of thematic symposia on the culture and values of sport will also take place in Nice, such as the National Sport Museum, an emblematic place. The Côte d’Azur sports cinema festival is now an integral part of the international circuit organized by the eponymous federation, which includes 16 festivals in as many countries.

The “Association Côte d’Azur FIFS” organizes the “Côte d’Azur Sport Film Festival FICTS 2018″. The event is in partnership with FICTS – Fédération Internationale de Cinéma et Télévision Sportifs and it is part of the “World FICTS Challenge 2018”. This regulation was approved by the Organizing Committee of the Festival.

OBJECTIVES 
One of the main objectives of the” Côte d’Azur Sport Film Festival FICTS 2018″ is to bring the public in touch with audiovisual content with sports orientations and its values while offering specialized media, filmmakers, producers and distributors a meeting place In which they can exchange their views and information.

CONTENT 
The “Côte d’Azur Sport Film Festival FICTS 2018” is open to all productions where the main subject is sport in all its forms and disciplines. The genres included: Animated films, documentaries and fictions, short films to feature films.

GENERAL RULES 

“Côte d’Azur Sport Film Festival FICTS 2018” is open to professional and independent productions. Each producer may submit as many Films as he or she wishes as long as they comply with the regulations. “Côte d’Azur Sport Film Festival FICTS 2018” may schedule non-compete films of general interest whatever their production date.

JURY 
The Organizing Committee of the “Côte d’Azur Sport Film Festival FICTS 2018” will proceed to the nomination of the official Jury of the Festival. The Côte d’Azur Jury Sport Film Festival FICTS 2018 will include well-known personalities drawn from the worlds of sport, cinema, audiovisual production and culture. All decisions and verdicts on their part are final and without recourse.

The selected films will compete for: 

– Award for Best Film 

– Award for Best Documentary

– Award For Best Clip

– Award for Best Achievement of the Olympic Games 

– Award for Best Achievement in Sport and Society

The Official Jury of the Côte d’Azur Sport Film Festival FICTS 2018 can offer as many special rewards as it deems appropriate.  The festival sponsors can give other prizes including cash or in-kind.

 

PROJECTION 
Films chosen to participate will be screened as planned in the Festival program. 
Films selected to participate are part of the documentary and video material of the “Association Côte d’Azur FIFS”, the use will be strictly limited to educational activities and as a means of increasing public awareness at the Festival. 

The winning films can be screened for free to promote the Côte d’Azur Sport Film Festival FICTS 2018 in any other Olympic museums in the world. 

Winning Films will be eligible to participate in the latest international stages of WORLD FICTS CHALLENGE. 
The winners explicitly authorize the Côte d’Azur Sport Film Festival FICTS 2018 organizing committee to provide their contact details to the Organizing Committees of the other “WORLD FICTS CHALLENGE” Festivals. Under no circumstances will projection rights be granted to third parties without express prior written consent of producers or their legal representatives.

Participants also authorize the Organizing Committee to partially reproduce their Films in the media in order to promote the Festival.
