Milano is ready to host the UEFA Champions League 2016 Final. “La Scala del Calcio”, the “Giuseppe Meazza Staium” will host, on Saturday 28 May, the “derby madrileño” between Real and Atletico Madrid seventh European matches between the two main football teams of the Spanish capital.
FICTS – Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs, joined with 114 Member Countries (chaired by Prof. Franco Ascani Member of “IOC Commission for Culture and Olympic Heritage”) and recognized by the International Olympic Committee for which it promotes the values of sport through footages, on the occasion of week of events for the UEFA Champions League 2016 Final, has played the initiative “SPORT E-MOTIONS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE – Projections in the Schools” aimed to the spread of sports and fair-play culture, of the Olympic values among young people. At the program of meetings (1½ hour each ones) – free of charge – took part 60 schools of Milano, through the presentation of videos about the importance of sport and of football as a social investment and as a means of education, the training and inclusion of its protagonists, interrupted by a discussion with students and teachers. Victory and defeat in football, Olympic Games, bullying, doping: these are some of the themes of the films shown in the Schools. “With fair play you can fly away” (An animated short about football in particular as social integration), “A beautiful gesture” (the gesture of footballer Paolo Di Canio in the match Everton-West Ham awarded the “Fair Play Award 2000”), “Les entraînements au fair play” (awareness of young players in Belgium on the importance to having a correct behavior during the game), “Peace through Sport” (train the spirit of peace among peoples), “Sport defends you” (sport as a mean to combat bullying in schools), “This is Sport” (What sport? Passion, courage, determination, improvement, enthusiasm, fair play).
The initiative was inserted in the educational-cultural program of “Trofei di Milano 2016” interscholastic sports and training activities aimed to the development of intellectual abilities of youth covering, such as human growth factor, a role in character and education formation of the person.

The international videos shown were selected by an International Jury in order to participate in “Sport Movies & Tv 2016” Worldwide Final of the “World FICTS Challenge” Worldwide Championship of Television, Cinema, Sport, Culture and Communication articulated in 18 Festivals around the 5 Continent scheduled from November 16 to 21 in Milano (Italy) at Palazzo Giureconsulti (Piazza Mercanti, 2 – Piazza Duomo).
