“FICTS Excellence Guirlande d’Honneur 2016” to the IOC President Dr Thomas Bach

The President of the International Olympic Committee Dr. Thomas Bach becomes “FICTS Hall of Fame” Member.

The President of FICTS – Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs Prof. Franco Ascani, on behalf of the Representatives of 116 member Countries of the Federation, has awarded the IOC President Dr Thomas Bach with the “FICTS Excellence Guirlande d’Honneur 2016” the highest honor of Federation, considered the “Oscar of Sports Cinema and Television”, “to have played significant role in the promotion of the cultural and ethical values of sport and Olympism” .

The delivery of the Award took place on the eve of his departure for Doha where will be scheduled the for the Assembly of the Olympic Committees. For this reason he is unable to attend at the “Opening Ceremony” of “Sport Movies & Tv 2016 – 34^th Milano International FICTS Fest” scheduled on Wednesday 16 November at the Palazzo Giureconsulti (6 p.m. in Piazza Mercanti, 2) in Milan.
