THE SPORT EDUCATION GOES INTO THE SCHOOLS THROUGH IMAGES
The sport education comes in the schools of Milano (Italy) through images. The initiative aimed to the spread of sports and fair-play culture, of the Olympic values among young people, entitled “Culture through images – projections in schools” continues. The initiative is organized by FICTS – Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs in the context of “Trofei di Milano 2016 – The educational process in school”, reached the 53rd edition and that, from 1964 till today, has recorded the participation of 3 million two hundred thousand students. The projections are presented by FICTS President Prof. Franco Ascani Member of “IOC Commission for Culture and Heritage Olympic”.
The program of meetings (1½ hour each) – free of charge – to which take part 60 schools of Milano, expects the presentation of videos about the importance of sport as a social investment and as a means of education, the training and inclusion of its protagonists, interrupted by a discussion with students and teachers, highlighting the training and educational aspects of sport. The international videos shown were selected at the last edition of “Sport Movies & Tv” scheduled in Milano as Final of the Worldwide Championship of Television, Cinema, Sport, Culture and Communication (articulated in 5 continents). The 2016 edition will take place in Milano from 15 to 20 November.
Olympic Games, bullying, doping, victory and defeat in sport: these are some of the themes of the films shown. “Peace through Sport” (train the spirit of peace among peoples), “Sport defends you” (sport as a mean to combat bullying in schools), “1896: Born of the cinema and the Olympic Games” (the first steps of the Cinema and of the modern Olympics), “This is Sport” (What sport? Passion, courage, determination, improvement, enthusiasm, fair play).
The initiative “Culture through the images” – organized by FICTS Italia a.s.d. (which provides for the videos), the AICS under the patronage of the Regional School for Lombardy, the Lombardy Region, the Metropolitan City of Milan, Milan City Council, FIDAL, Italian NOC and the support of the “Centrale del Latte di Milano” – is inserted in the educational-cultural program of “Trofei di Milano 2016”” aimed to the development of intellectual abilities of youth covering, such as human growth factor, a role in character and education formation of the person: environmental sustainability, development of creativity, the acquisition of social and relational experiences, etc.
The “Trofei di Milano” will be finish at the Arena Brera of Milan, with the Finals (13-14-15 April 2016), which include outdoor sports and educational initiatives for students, their family members, including a free walk titled “Maximarcia of School in the Olympic Year 2016” (15 April) with free submissions to all the citizens without limit of age.

“MAXIMARCIA OF 2016 OLYMPIC YEAR” AND SPORT CULTURE
FICTS – Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs takes the field with young people on Friday April 15th, 2016 at the Arena Brera in Milano (Italy), at the conclusion of the activities in the Schools (period October 2015 – March 2016) and the “Week of Sport for All” with “MAXIMARCIA OF 2016 OLYMPIC YEAR” (departure at 9 a.m.), opened to all ages citizens, in Parco Sempione around 2 km away in free walk, with free entrance and free submissions to which, in addition to students of secondary and primary schools public and private schools of Milano, will join – in a spirit of real integration – 30 organizations from as much countries. The performances by the Band of the Air Force Command and of Military School “Teuliè” as well as the launch of 5.000 balloons with the Olympic colors will open the event.
The event will conclude the 53rd “Trofei di Milano 2016 – The educational process in school” (42.330 students from 228 schools), including interscholastic sports and training activities divided into five areas – Sport, Culture, Education, Food and Health. Trofei, unique event in Italy for feedback and approval for “Sport in school”, from 1964 till today, has recorded the participation of 3 million two hundred thousand students through an initiative totally devoid of any profit.
In addition to different sport and educational activities in the open air in Sempione Park, the final of the relay races – under the slogan “The relay race makes of the person a team” (13-14-15 April 2016) – will be held at Arena Brera in Milan, as part of the “Week of Sport Olympic Year” promoted by FICTS that organized in 60 schools special projections in order to spread sport and fair-play culture, the Olympic values among young people within the Project “Sport Emotions: Culture through images”.
The Organizing Committee, chaired by Prof. Franco Ascani, will assign the “Giuseppe Rovelli Award – 96 years of Sport”, the “Master” who initiated thousands of young people to the wonderful world of sport and its values. Torchbearer until the last edition of the “Trophies of Milan”, was World Champion Master Athletics 2014.
The initiative, organized by FICTS Italia a.s.d., the AICS under the patronage of the Regional School for Lombardy, Esercito Lombardia, the Lombardy Region, the Metropolitan City of Milan, Milan City Council, Italian NOC, FIDAL and the support of the “Centrale del Latte di Milano”, aimed to the increase in the intellectual capacity of young people covering, such as human growth factor, a role in the formation of character and education of the individual: environmental sustainability, development of creativity, acquisition of social experiences and relational.
