FICTS PRESIDENT PROF. FRANCO ASCANI AWARDED WITH “HONOR OF ARMY”

The President of FICTS – Fédération Internationale Cinéma Télévision Sportifs Prof. Franco Ascani Member of the IOC Commission for Culture and Olympic Education was awarded on 20 of May, with the “Honor of Army” during the celebration for the 153 Anniversary of the Constitution of the Italian Army at the Teatro Dal Verme in Milano (Italy). More than 1.400 guests attended together with the Commander of Italian NATO General Giorgio Battisti and the Military Commander of Lombardy Army General Antonio Pennino.

Prof. Ascani was awarded with the following motivation: “With the noble aim to approach young people to the sport he has organized and conducted, in a praiseworthy manner, events of the first level in the name of the highest human ​​and sports values such as respect of the rules and the opponent, team spirit, discipline, self-control, loyalty and honesty. Tangible evidence of the closeness to the Military Institution and Army in particular, have always found more than adequate space and visibility within the events skillfully conceived and managed”.
