The special edition of the “Forty years” of “SPORT MOVIES & TV – MILAN INTERNATIONAL FICTS FEST” (www.sportmoviestv.com) Final of of Cinema, Television, Communication and Sports Culture of the “World FICTS Challenge” is scheduled in Milan (Italy) from 7 to 11 November

Among the 100 selected movies (47 sports disciplines) will open the Festival:

Pezzi d’Ambra – Athletics lessons, life lessons” produced by DMTC Sport and directed by Mauro Gervasi. A day of training by the Paralympic athlete Ambra Sabatini (world record in the 100m T63 in 13.98 at the Paris 2023 World Championships) in Castelporziano, headquarters of the Fiamme Gialle Military Group to which she belongs together with Martina Caironi, world record holder in the long jamp.

Conquering time – Ágnes Keleti” (Poland) the intimate portrait of the Hungarian Ágnes Keleti, the oldest living Olympic champion (102 years old). An all-time gymnastics star who made sports history in the 20th century with 10 Olympic medals.

Behind the dream” the human stories behind the most successful team in MotoGP history, Honda Repsol. The docufilm focuses on the “golden boy” of the team, the champion Marc Marquez to move on to the chief test driver, Stefan Bradl, the spare parts guru Shibasaki “Shiba” Katsura and the entire Honda team.

“SPORT MOVIES & TV” – organized by FICTS – Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs (chaired by Prof. Franco Ascani) the only Federation of the film sector recognized by the IOC (International Olympic Committee) – will feature large international participation (the list of prestigious guests will be communicated after the closing of the submissions) and will be articulated into Projections selected from 1,233 productions from the 130 Countries affiliated to FICTS (including 25 world premieres and exclusive Olympic images, etc.), Meetings, Workshops, Exhibitions, Press Conferences, Related Events, the Paralympic Movies & Tv Fest and Awards for national and international guests.

The “Ragazzi…in gamba” day is scheduled with the awarding of the students who participated in the “TROFEI DI MILANO 2023 – Education, Culture and Sport for Young People” which – in collaboration with the Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation – recorded the participation of 42,000 students from 88 schools (32,000 from 59 schools in Milan and 10,130 young people of 29 schools from Veneto Region) establishing – in 60 years – the record of over three and a half million students (in 2023, 52% of girls).

“SPORT MOVIES & TV 2023” is the “Festival of Olympic images” with a “special showcase” dedicated to the “Games” through the best images of all time (with interactive meetings) towards “Paris 2024” and “Milano Cortina 2026” with the exciting performances of the Olympic Champions.

Stories of sports, champions, great personalities of the present and the past, memorable feats, for five days with an “Inauguration Ceremony” (7 November – 5.30 pm) and “Award Ceremony” (11 November – 5.30 pm) at the Great Auditorium Testori Palazzo Lombardia (Piazza Città di Lombardia, 1) and 3 other prestigious locations in the center of Milan.

On the occasion of the “Quarantennale della FICTS” a series of initiatives in the area are also planned which are part of the context of the activities that FICTS is carrying out with and for the Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation.
