Cinema and boxing, among the favorite sports of directors and actors, is a marriage that lasts a long time. On 1894 was the first attempt to shoot the boxing fight between Jack Cushing and Mike Leonard. The saga of “Rocky” with Sylvester Stallone, the biopic “Raging Bull directed by Martin Scorsese with Robert De Niro as Jack La Motta, “Ali starring Will Smith, “Cinderella Man” starring Russell Crowe, “Million Dollar Baby” directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Hilary Swank. Irma Testa, first Italian boxer to participate in the Rio Olympic Games, will debut in Italian cinemas with a documentary about her life. “The Butterfly”, directed by Alessandro Cassignoli and Casey Kauffman), will tell the life, sports and entertainment of the Italian boxer, who will play herself. The shooting lasted two years during which the filmmakers have followed the daily life of Irma between workouts, tournaments and private life. The documentary has been invited to participate in “Sport Movies & Tv 2017” held in Milan (Italy) from November 15th to 20th.
