The “Khudozhestvenny” cinema was the venue of the “Opening Ceremony” of “5th Samara International FICTS Festival” (underway in Russia) organised, in the range of the “World FICTS Challenge” World Championship of Sport Cinema and Television, by the International Sport Movie Festival presided by Shamil Tarpishchev, IOC Member, President of the Russian Tennis Federation with the support of the Samara Oblast Government.
The “Samara International FICTS Festival” in RussiaBesides the civil and institutional Authorities, were present the FICTS President Prof. Franco Ascani, the V. Minister of Culture of Samara Region Irina E. Kalyagina and the tennis player Anastasia Myskina (two-time Fed Cup champion). The ceremony ended with a screening of the film “The Legend of the number 17” directed by Nikolai Lebedev, who chronicles the rise to fame of the Soviet hockey player Valery Kharlamov. The “Award Ceremony”, which will attend FICTS President Prof. Franco Ascani, will take place September 13 at the cinema “Khudozhestvenny.”
