Five days left (July 31st – 6 p.m.) to the binding closing submissions to “SPORT MOVIES & TV 2016 – 34th Milano International FICTS Fest” Final of the “SPORT E-MOTIONS World FICTS Challenge” Championship of Television, Cinema, Sport, Culture and Communication (articulated in 18 Festivals around the 5 Continents) scheduled in Milano (Italy), from November 16th to 21st. The productions about 2016 Rio Olympic Games – and only this – will be accepted to the Festival by September 30th . Six days of Television, Cinema, Communication and Sport Culture, a considerable “world showcase” for Networks, media, broadcastings, houses of productions, producers, directors, filmmakers, Olympic Committees, advertising and integrated communication agencies, that will show the whole universe of cinema and sport television through spot, reportages, fiction, cartoon, etc. There are 7 competitive Sections: 1. Olympic Spirit (Olympic Values); 2. Documentary (Individual sports; Team sports; Great Champions; Reportage); 3. TV Shows & New Technologies (Sports programs, Talk Shows, Entertaining; New Media); 4. Sport & Society (Sport & Solidarity; Sport for All, Education, Technique/didactics); 5. Movies (Fiction); 6. Sports Adverts (Social/Institutional advertising, Commercial advertising); 7. Movies & Tv Football and a Special Section about “Cartoons”.

The Organizing Committee of “Sport Movies & Tv 2016” has received, till now, productions of 35 different sport disciplines (coming from 35 Countries) with several about the football. The Barcelona FC, Dino Zoff, the Bayern Monaco of Mister Pep Guardiola, but also baseball, cycling, boxing, rugby, etc. and investigative and complaint movies against doping in sport. Inside Palazzo Giureconsulti will host the “Olympic Hall” which will exclusively host Olympic topics and films, in cooperation with the Olympic Foundation for Culture and Heritage, will be screened, in loop, the most significant fottages of the Olympic Games of all time including the official film of the 2014 Sochi winter Olympics.
The seventeenth century Palazzo Giureconsulti, in the hearth of Milano (in Piazza Duomo), will be the “Core business” of the event (entrance by invitation upon necessary confirmation) articulated into 150 Projections (till now 31 worldwide and European premieres, etc.), 4 Meetings, 2 Workshop, 4 Exhibitions, 2 Press Conference, 30 Awards of international guests, 20 Side Events distributed in different locations around Milano in collaboration with sports and cultural organizations as well as BMW Milano and Sergio Bonelli Editore.
On November 16 (at 6 p.m.), the Greek painter and stylist Mina Papatheodorou – Valyraki, “IOC Sports Artist of the Year 2014”, will present – for the first time in Italy at Palazzo Giureconsulti an Art Exhibition dedicated to sport titled “Art and Movement” sponsored by the “Ethniki Insurance Company” (Greek National Insurance Company). The event will end on November 21 at Palazzo Lombardia during the “International Day of Televisions”. On 19 November will be scheduled the Workshop “Innovative productions’ technique” organized in collaboration with WCPMedia Services: a cultural, professional meeting for market operators with Directors and Producers as speakers to which will follow the Meeting “One to One” among directors, producers, operators. It will also scheduled a meeting with students of the University of Schools of Cinema. The International Jury (Honorary President Dr. Carlo Bozzali), composed by exponents of cinema, television, media, sport and culture coming from Countries that don’t participate to the Festival will assign “Guirlande d’Honneur”, “Oscar of Cinema and Sport Television”, “Mention d’Honneur”, “Special Awards” for each 7 competitive Sections. All the 150 Selected movies will be showed and insert in the Official Festival Catalogue and on the new FICTS website it will be published on the new FICTS portal www.sportmoviestv.com the full record and the entire trailers.
