The FICTS President Prof. Franco Ascani, as Director of the Master in “Sport Management, Marketing and Society – SMMS” promoted by the Department of Sociology and Social Research at the University of Milan-Bicocca, will lead the Delegation, composed by students enrolled at the University Master, visiting Barcelona on 21 and 22 April.
The trip program includes a day at Montjuic’s sports facilities with a visit to the Joan Antoni Samaranch Museum and the Studies Center. The Bicocca University delegation will meet the Director of “Fundació Barcelona Olímpica”, Dr. Juli Pernas and some experts in sports communication and management, including Dr. Rafel Niubò, UBAE (Unió Barcelonesa d’Activitats Esportives) founder and former Sport secretary General of in Catalonia. The initiative is included in the program of study meetings with qualified exponents of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), both in Milan and in Lausanne, with lectures held by teachers including Dr. Francis Gabet, Director of the IOC Foundation for Culture and Olympic Heritage, Dr. Francesco Ricci Bitti, ASOIF (Association of Summer Olympic International Federations)President, Dr Maria Bogner, Director of the Olympic Studies Center based in Lausanne and the Master Coordinator Prof. Franco B. Ascani, Member of the IOC Commission for Culture and Olympic Heritage.
