Message for 2018 by Prof. Franco Ascani FICTS President and Member of IOC Commission for “Culture and Olympic Heritage”

FICTS – Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs (www.sportmoviestv.com), that  makes use of a thirty years experience in the organization of events with widespread the same characteristics in 116 Member Countries in the 5 Continents and, in 2018, it will realize an intense program of events in order to promote and to increase the development of culture and of sports disciplines through the real use of the power of the image that stimulates positive emotions.

FICTS, moreover, as Federation of Television and Sport Image on screen, a meeting point for the 1.725 Television Sport Channels, has laid a solid foundation for the future through new cohesions (National Olympic Committee, Ministers, etc.) as well as through the excellent quality of guests and of participants (directors, producers, networks, etc.) in the “World FICTS Challenge”, Worldwide Championship of Television, Cinema, Communication, Sports Culture and new media that carried out in 16 stages in 5 Continents.

Thanks to a fruitful cooperation with the IOC – International Olympic Committee as well as thanks to a qualified participation in international level, we archived 2017 with a flattering balance sheet of audience and critics for the many activities of Federation.

FICTS, in collaboration with the “IOC Foundation for Culture and Olympic Heritage”, wants to continue – in 2018 (also through the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Pyeongchang in the South Corea) – the spread and cultural use of the Olympic footages with the aim to further promote the positive values of the Games in collaboration with the Olympic Channel, ​​through several actions inspired of the “Culture through sport”. Actions intended as antidote to the negative aspects, tenaciously defending the integrity of the athletes and sports organizations that, in turn, must act with great determination and with new models of efficient governance. My personal target, throughout the Federation and its 116 Member Countries, is to strongly develop in the new year, the knowledge of the Sport Movement as well as to make it a way of life for all segments of the citizens in every Countries and to contribute to change sport in a “global movement at humanity’s service”, based  on the values ​​of universality, tolerance, ethics, peace and fair play which are its priceless heritage and the sense of my wishes for 2018.
