The 2016 Rio Summer Olympic Games (August 5 to 21) and the European Championship in France (June 10 – July 10) will have a leading role in “SPORT MOVIES & TV 2016 – 34th Milano International FICTS Fest”, Final of the “World FICTS Challenge” Worldwide Championship of Television, Cinema, Sport, Culture and Communication (articulated in 18 Festivals around the 5 Continents) scheduled in Milano (Italy) from November 16 to 21.

Several sports stars as Paul Gascoigne, Jesse Owens, Johan Cruijff, Neymar, Pelè as well as the projection of Olympic Games Official films (restored) included Sochi 2014 will interchange on screen over 5 days (in 6 areas of projections simultaneously). A special “Cartoon Section” will be expected for young people. The seventeenth century Palazzo Giureconsulti, in the hearth of Milano (Piazza Mercanti 2 – corner Piazza Duomo) will be the “Core business” of the event (entrance by invitations) articulated into 150 Projections (among which 29 worldwide and European premiere, etc.), 6 Meetings, 2 Workshops, 4 Exhibitions, Press Conference, 30 Awards of international guests, 4 Side Events distributed in different locations in the city in cooperation with sports and cultural organizations.

New media, broadcastings, worldwide houses of productions, majors, producers, directors, filmmakers, Olympic Committees and Sports Federations, advertising and integrated communication agencies will show the whole universe of cinema and sport television through spot, reportages, fiction, cartoon, etc. in the 7 competitive Sections:  1. Olympic Spirit (Olympic Values); 2. Documentary (Individual sports; Team sports; Great Champions; Reportage); 3. TV Shows & New Technologies (Sports programs, Talk Shows, Entertaining; New Media); 4. Sport & Society (Sport & Solidarity; Sport for All, Education, Technique/didactics); 5. Movies (Fiction); 6. Sports Adverts (Social/Institutional advertising, Commercial advertising); 7. Movies & Tv Football. The event – through “FICTS is Culture through sport” slogan – is organized by FICTS – Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs, joined with 114 Member Countries (chaired by Prof. Franco Ascani Member of “IOC Commission for Culture and Olympic Heritage” and recognized by the International Olympic Committee for which it promotes the values of sport through footages.

The Organizing Committee has expected a discount of 30% on the “Entry Fee” for those who will submit the productions by May 27th, 2016.
