The FICTS President Prof. Franco Ascani has opened in Lipetsk (Russia) – the tenth edition of “Atlant International FICTS Festival” at the presence of sports personalities and Authorities. The Festival, inserted in the “World FICTS Challenge” is organized by the Administration of Lipetsk Region, the Russian Olympic Committee and “New Cinematograf” company directed by Nikolay Porokhovnik, under patronage of Council of Europe with the Russian Federation Ministry of Sports and FICTS support. 120 films from 34 countries will participate in the Festival. The Festival is articulated in meetings of film-makers with viewers in several towns of the Region, workshops, projections.
The international jury with a two-Gold Olympic champion, world hockey champion Vladimir Petrov and other worthy figures of sports and movies from Belarus, Bulgaria, Brazil will evaluate the work in five categories: “Best Feature Film of the sport”, “Loyalty to the Olympic ideals,” ” Sport and personality “,” Sport and Society “and” Best TV program”.The “Award Ceremony” will be scheduled on 27 September.
